I am a Senior at San Diego State University, working towards a degree in Foods and Nutrition. Eventually, after a year-long internship, that degree will turn into a certification as a Registered Dietitian. My intention is obtain my Certified Diabetes Educator cert as soon as is possible (1,000 logged R.D. hours) and consult with people with diabetes, preferably Type 1, insulin dependent. As a fellow Type 1 diabetic, I want to use my experience and education towards bettering the lives of other diabetics, because, frankly, this disease sucks. And any help is totally worth it!
